I’ve intended to write this review since I closed on my house in late November 2022. To say that I like to procrastinate is putting it mildly. That can’t be said of my fantastic realtor, Steve Lucal and the wonderful team at Whissel Realty Group.From the outset the idea of buying a home in San Diego where I’ve lived for 20 years was frightening. I had been married for 34 years, was now divorced and worried about trying to buy. Steve was professional, patient and the voice of reason during my struggle to convince myself that I could and should buy a home.Steve worked with me from May of 2021 until and after I closed in November 2022. It was me that put the brakes on multiple times. Steve never hesitated to let me know that it was ok to be nervous but would then point out, with facts why it would be good to purchase. He learned from our first conversation what I was looking from and never wasted my time or his by showing me houses either out of my preferred area, price or style.He would call to check in a few weeks after I’d told him I was done looking. Never to pressure me, just to say hi, ask about my dogs and chat about his family. He called my one day and spoke to me about interest rates, house prices rising, falling and so on. But what got to me and made me think for the first time, really think was when he said that I needed to have a home. There were some personal issues that I had told him about and speaking with him I realized that he knew me almost better than myself. I trusted him implicitly and knew he would not let me get into a purchase that I’d regret.I’m writing this long overdue recommendation for Whissel Realty Group’s Steve Lucal, from my home, that he led me to and helped close in about a month.My home, thanks to Steve.Des Kelly

Ewa Baska is the best agent in the business. Not only is she extremely business savy and knowledgable about the San Diego real estate market, she has a keen eye for interior design and an empathetic heart. I worked with Ewa to sell my home last year. She was super great to work with. She helped us understand the selling process, as it was our first time selling a home. She worked really hard to find us a buyer in a slowing market. She hosted many open houses, a neighborhood event, sent out flyers and ran social ads. Once we found a buyer, she worked hard to protect our interests and get us the most profit. I would work with Ewa again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her!
