I came from humble beginnings. I was born and raised on the island of Tinian in the Northern Mariana Islands where I was raised and influenced by my grandmother in the Philippines from 3rd to 6th grade. I was fortunate enough to serve my country and join the United States Marines Corps out of Guam serving as an Avionics Technician. During this time, I lived all over the world, from the East Coast, Okinawa Japan, Hawaii, South Korea and ultimately ended up in Camp Pendleton.
After working for a Fortune 500 company as an Avionics Calibration Technician for 3.5 years and despite climbing the corporate ladder, I decided to go back to school and get a degree in Business Management. Soon after attending UC San Diego, I landed a job working for a tech company helping small businesses, enterprise companies, and school districts with their IT innovations with cybersecurity solutions where I was able to build a new sales department and was responsible for a group of amazing account development specialists who acquired new clients. This paved the way to get into the real estate industry.
Reading and learning have been my passion for many years and I came to realize that if you aren’t growing, you’re dying. When I’m not helping clients, I love to work out, go to the beach and spend quality time with family, close friends, and my mini pug Arya. If I could describe myself in one sentence, I’m a pug dad who loves helping people with compassion and positivity. I was born and raised here in San Diego and grew up in the East County area. I graduated high school at Granite hills where I played water polo and was also on the swim team. I even went to college here in San Diego at California State University San Marcos where I received my Bachelors in Marketing. I worked full time in order to pay for my tuition where working full time while going to school full time had helped me develop a strong work ethic.
Afterwards, I did marketing for Sirius Satellite Radio and Sony. A friend of mine saw my ability to work with people and understand sales and suggested I join his team in real estate, and that is how my career started. Something else fun about me is that I have seven siblings. Four of my siblings were adopted and two were foster siblings with one biological. So now that I am older I realize even more just how big of hearts my parents have. Hopefully I can spread love and joy to the world as much as they have.
Born and raised in Hermosa Beach, higher education brought me to San Diego in the late 90’s. After graduating with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing I knew my ultimate goal was to own and invest in Real Estate but wasn’t sure of the career path to take me there at the time. Soon after school, I entered the Real Estate industry on the mortgage side of the business. Starting there has served as a great foundation for me with the understanding of how loans work, underwriters’ perspectives, and the inner working of mortgage office.
From there, I pivoted into a long stint focusing exclusively on foreclosure sales beginning in 2008, during the economic downturn. My time in that space and the high volume of transactions helped me quickly acquire meaningful experience in that specific field including asset management, property preservation, an extensive knowledge of the entire county of San Diego, and of course the important part; Real Estate sales!
When the market began to rebound, my focus also returned to individual sellers and buyers which has been the core business I have concentrated on and developed over the past decade.
While working through these phases professionally, my personal life developed as well. I married my high school sweetheart, we bought our first home at Sunset Cliffs, and began our family, now complete with two girls and a boy who are currently in middle school and jr. high in Point Loma.
